Early Mountain Vineyards 2015 "Quaker Run" Chardonnay

91 points

A new benchmark example of Chardonnay from the Commonwealth. Complex and intricate aromas that open with succulent tropical fruits before moving into yellow apple, coconut, lime, vanilla and green tea. Mouth-filling and concentrated, the palate shows similar layers of pineapple, apple, mango, vanilla and lime zest.

What makes this a true standout is its beautiful texture. At once rich, lively, opulent and gritty with juicy acidity, this is a beautiful example of East Coast Chardonnay that makes me re-think my disdain for domestic Chardonnay.
