William Heritage Winery 2017 Rosé
Light woodsy spice aromas bring complexity to an effusive core of pure strawberry, blueberry and red grapefruit fruitiness. Bright and fruit forward, with more strawberry, blueberry and grapefruit flavors it features nervy, citrusy acidity and a peach pulp-y roundness on the mid-palate that makes the mouthfeel stand out. The cabernet franc peeks out just a bit on the end of a long finish, bringing a gentle herbal/black tea bit of nuance with it.
At $15, this might be the best value in East Coast rosé for 2017. I have yet to find a better one.
