Cannon River Winery 2017 La Crescent
Bursts with classic La Crescent aromas pineapple and peaches but also shows a spiced pear note and some pretty floral aromas that bring added layers of complexity.
You can feel a bit of residual sugar on the taut, nervy palate, but there is plenty of juicy, citrusy acidity to cut the sweetness -- to the point that it finishes almost dry. The floral qualities are a bit more forward here, layered with more tropical and stone fruit flavors. Though not super-long, the finish hangs on nicely with that sweet-tart combination stretching it out just enough.
