Bedell Cellars 2017 “Taste” Rose

Bedell Cellars 2017 "Taste" Rose

90 points

This is exactly the kind of wine that I like to have on the table if that table is covered with a wide array of foods -- flavors, textures, etc.

A blend of merlot, cabernet franc, syrah and cabernet sauvignon, it has nice fruit flavors — mostly fresh red cherry and some red raspberry — with a subtle herbal, savory edge that really makes it great with food. Medium bodied, the palate nicely balances intensity with freshness and shows just a bit of peach on a long finish as it warms a bit.
