Left Foot Charley 2017 Pinot Blanc
Pinot blanc can be a bit neutral on the nose, but not here. Bright green apple and citrus aromas are accented by a faint note of white tea.
The green apple and lemon-lime citrus continue – with just a little melon – on a lighter-bodied palate that shows nice fruit intensity as well as fresh, well-integrated acidity. The finish is long and turns just a bit minerally with a distinct gritty pear note at the very end.
Pinot blanc seems to like it in Michigan if this wine is any indication. I look forward to exploring other examples.
