Blenheim Vineyards 2018 Albarino

Blenheim Vineyards 2018 Albarino

I may have tasted this beautiful wine from Virginia's Blenheim Vineyards in December – but it's a perfect wine for the dog days of summer too.

The nose starts out with sweet green apple and lime qualities, but as it warms, it takes on a bit more of a tropical feel with just a hint of sea breeze salinity.

On a juicy, fresh, lighter-bodied palate, some passionfruit joins the same green apple and lime flavors. Very fresh and refreshing, the finish lingers a bit with a distinct note of golden raisin at the very end.

Further evidence that we need more albarino not only in Virginia, but up and down the East Coast.
