Johnson Estate Feelings Creek Reserve Semi-Dry Riesling

87 points

Lake Erie is often the forgotten wine region of New York wine world, which is a shame. The nose on this riesling shows juicy, slightly minerally pear aromas that backed by some white flower notes.

A bit of peach joins lots of ripe pear flavor on a light-bodied, just off-dry palate. That residual sugar brings a softness, but it's well balanced with juicy acidity, even if it's not super nervy.

This is a nice entry point for yet another riesling terroir in New York State -- and well priced at $15.
