Unionville Vineyards 2019 Hunterdon Mistral Rosé

87 points

The nose shows sweet strawberry and peach fruit aromas, but also distinct notes of dried bay leaf and sage. Those same savory qualities carry over to a medium-bodied palate that is fresh, with juicy, citrusy acidity.

The fruit flavor here is centered on strawberries, with hints of earth, spice, and savory herb.

This isn't a beach/boat/pool rose. This is a rose that you'll want to drink with food. Grilled fare is a good foil and I think Thanksgiving dinner might be a nice combination as well.
