If you’ve been reading this site for very long, you know that I don’t “do” Thanksgiving pairings. You can find out why here.
What I will tell you, however, is that this rose from Hosmer Winery and winemaker Julia Hoyle, will be on my Thanksgiving table this year. I love rose when it’s fruit-forward with lots of acidity but also has more savory notes. That’s this wine.
The nose is fruity with red berries like strawberry and cranberry but also features a minty-herbal streak and just a little peach and green tea. Very fresh, the palate shows the same red berry fruit and more of that savory herbal edge. The finish is long, juicy, and a little citrusy.
