Wolffer Estate Vineyard 2019 Estate Rose

90 points

There are beautiful floral notes over top of ripe peach, strawberry, and red cherry aromas on a fresh, aromatic nose. The medium-bodied palate offers a similar interplay between peachy and berry flavors – with the addition of saline and savory notes at the edges.

After so many delicate Long Island roses from 2018, this wine seems almost weighty, while remaining juicy and fresh. Sometimes this wine ends up smelling and tasting like a white wine that just happens to be pink. That's not the case this year, which means this is the kind of versatile rose that can be enjoyed well into the fall.
