Rosemont of Virginia 2019 Rose

90 points

Made from 100% chambourcin grapes, this boldly colored rose bursts with ripe, jammy strawberry aromas that mingle with notes of pink grapefruit, red cherry and a subtle tomato leaf note that brings a great savory element.

Juicy strawberry flavors lead the way on a fresh, medium-to-light-bodied palate. All of the fruit flavors you'd expect are there, but it's the savory edges that make this a standout.

This has become one of the Virginia roses I most look forward to tasting every spring.
