Osmote Wines 2018 Riesling
Starts off with classic peachy and slate-y Finger Lakes riesling qualities before notes of spicy, nutty lees peek through along with a saline streak and the faintest whisper sour rot that thankfully doesn't overwhelm.
Peach and citrus flavors mingle on a medium-bodied palate that shows atypical mid-palate weight and creaminess. Some of that nutty lees character bring some complexity as well. It's dry but not austere. It's nice to taste something that isn't just another Finger Lakes riesling.
