Ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, black cherries, and blueberries are accented by hints of dried versions of the same fruits, spicy oak, and a savory, almost soy sauce-like aromas.
As with any properly expressive cabernet franc, there is a nice balance between fruit and savory qualities on a fuller-bodied palate. Black and blue fruit flavors are ripe and backed by mesquite smoke, more of that savory/umami character, and just a little dried mint on the end of a medium-long finish. It wears 14% abv quite well with ripe, softening tannins.
