There’s a light grassy edge to the pear-, melon- and grapefruit-driven nose of this good-value ($15) Gewurztraminer. A little bit of lychee too.
The palate has an almost slick feel with crisp acidity at the edges that frame citrus, pear and melon fruit flavors. There is some sweetness here, but enough acidity that it finishes mostly dry with complex notes of spice and honey.
It packs a lot of flavor and varietal character for $15.
